Jubilee Party has backed the late Kitui’s MP Francis Nyenze, Edith, as she goes for the seat. The Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju has revealed that the political outfit will not field a candidate for the post following the demises of the lawmaker.Kitili Mwendwa, a son of former cabinet minister Nyiva Mwendwa, who contested for Wiper Party ticket has already conceded defeated and vowed to back Nyenze’s wife as she seeks to win the post.Nyenze was among the most influential leaders from Ukambani before he met his death.The lawmaker caused a stirred a storm in the NASA when he said that he will lead the Kamba nation from the alliance if Kalonzo is not named the torchbearer.He, however, changed his mind following consultations with leaders of his political outfit.The endorsement comes at a time when leaders of the opposition have maintained that they will swear in Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga for the nation’s top seat before the end of this month.
