The county government of Uasin Gishu has been lauded for its efforts in improving the health sector by ensuring existing health facilities offer quality health services.
This comes even as governor Jackson Mandago has reaffirmed his commitment to investing heavily in the sector through timely supply of drugs and purchase of modern equipment.
And Mandago's efforts seem not to go unnoticed as some of the locals living near the refurbished Uhuru Health facility in Moiben constituency flocked to the social media to commend the Mandago-led administration for a good job.
"I congratulate Mandago for his continued support in health matters in Uhuru dispensary. Medicine and health facilities are in order, unlike the past. I have witnessed a great change in my local dispensary where I believe that this is just the beginning of the great journey ahead,” Derrick Kirui, a Facebook user posted.
Several other residents agreed with the sentiments while expressing their satisfaction in the manner in which the county was handling the health sector.
Below are some of the comments from Facebook users on the state of the health sector in Uasin Gishu.
Julias Kiptoo - “I second this…Uasin Gishu residents feel relieved and are now happy but this should be done in the county.”
Mercy Kangai - “I voted Mandago again because I believe he is a man of his words. I like this when it comes from the mouth of the horses.”
James Kipsang - “ Yes, that is what we want to hear and see. Mandago is an example to the rest. We want him to be just not only in health matters but in the business sector.,”
Irene Nduta - “Consider all whether they voted for you or not."
