Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has said the Luhyas will vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming August general elections. Lusaka said the community will back Jubilee administration because of the many development projects it has initiated in the Western region. Citing various ongoing projects in the area, the Governor said the President Kenyatta's administration has really helped Bungoma residents.“We asked for a charter for Kibabii University and we got it. We asked for Pan Paper to be revived and the first phase is up and operational,” he said on Saturday.The JP point man in the Western region added: “We asked for the tarmacking of Chwele-Lwakhakha and Musikoma Mungachi-Buyofu roads and construction is ongoing. We have all the reasons to vote for Jubilee in August.”Lusaka confessed that he was ready to support the Opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) should it have unveiled Ford Kenya Moses Wetang'ula or Amani's Musalia Mudavadi as its flag bearer. “I don’t have any grudge with the person they have picked. But Raila did not help us in any way when he was the Prime Minister. He only gave Alfred Khang’ati the Internal Security docket,” he noted.The Governor urged the community to vote for President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to continue enjoying more development.
