The Governor says school curriculum should have lessons against corruption if the vice will be curbed after all.

Corruption has taken root in Kenya and seems to be stopping not soon, especially in the public service.

Almost every month, there's a new revelation of either fund's embezzlement or land grabbing.

"It is time we start being serious about this corruption issue. I want to urge the ministry to incorporate curriculum against this," said Mandago as he hosted the National Anti- Corruption Steering Committee for a courtesy call on Tuesday.

The vocal Jubilee governor further lamented that "corruption is becoming an ogre that is proving hard to slay".

For this reason, the county boss proposed that education structures should have lessons castigating corruption.

"There is a saying that Samaki Umkunje ungali maji, we need to bring up children knowing that corruption is bad," Mandago noted.

He also regretted that courts and Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision (EACC) spend much time and resources on pursuing petty cases and loosening up on big scandals as land grabbing and embezzlement of funds.
