Lawyers practising in the North Rift Economic Bloc (NOREB) have been urged to always hold their regional Law Society of Kenya (LSK) conferences, workshops and seminars in the region.Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago says this will encourage the lawyers to sample new tourism frontier in the region.Mandago is the chairman of NOREB that brings together eight counties."This will also help to market the region thus attracting more investors and also improve the economy at large," Mandago said in Eldoret on Friday during the North Rift young lawyers inaugural dinner.The governor further encouraged the young lawyers to uphold high standards of integrity in their practise."Let us do our work professionally and avoid any form of corruption, we should uphold our code of ethics to the latter," he advised.Prior to the dinner, there was a presidential candidate's debate organized, coordinated and moderated by the LSK North Rift region that gave candidates a platform to outline their leadership vision and agenda for the organization.North Rift LSK chairman Zephaniah Yego speaking during the event assured that they would hold a free and fair election scheduled for February 22, 2018.
