We received news today that former Nairobi governor spirant Miguna Miguna has boarded a plane to Canada, accompanied by U.A.E government official.
For me, Miguna’s landing to Canada was great news and I believe he should stay in Canada and never allowed to be in Kenya.
Threat to National Unity
Miguna Miguna is indeed a national threat to a national unity, especially on the basis of tribal division.
When he landed in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport last month, his arrival created political tension in the country.
It appeared to compromise the unity pact deal, through Uhuru and Raila’s handshake.
To avoid such peace and unity threats in future, the government, for the sake of healing nation, should not allow Miguna Miguna again in Kenya.
Miguna doesn’t recognize Kenyan government
Over and over when delivering speeches, Miguna Miguna declared that he doesn’t recognize President Uhuru Kenyatta. He has been heard calling Uhuru and his deputy ‘duo despots’ implying that he doesn’t recognize the two.
Presidency is a sign of national unity. By failing to recognize president, Miguna sends an indirect message that he doesn’t recognize the unity of Kenya.
