This week the self-declared general of the NRM took to social media to announce his being admitted at a Toronto hospital in Canada.

Unlike what the general public thought, however, Miguna was not in hospital just because he was sick.

He had checked in and received admittance because he wanted to perform a number of tests from what he believed was a poisoning by the government of Kenya during his deportation from the country.

"Admitted at the Sunnybtook Health Science Centre, Toronto, for further toxicology tests and treatment," he said.

Miguna however insisted that he remained committed to the cause of the anti-government struggle.

"I remain strong and focused. Aluta continua. Dr. Miguna Miguna, April 7th," he added.

In the last general election, Miguna failed to clinch the governor's seat to represent the people of Kibera and other sub-counties in the capital.
