Barely a month after he officially declared interest in the Nyali parliamentary seat, Former KTN investigative reporter Mohamed Ali popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu has expressed concern ahead of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) primaries.
A source close to the politician claims that Moha fears being rigged out during the nominations, reports Tuko.co.ke.According to a source quoted by the daily, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is alleged to be plotting to rig out the journalist in favour of his brother Said Salim.The source claimed that the massive defection of leaders from ODM is caused by dictatorship within the party."That is greed you cannot have the governor's seat and MP at the same time, its like you want to have your cake and eat it," said the source, as quoted by the ldaily.Moha, however, has affirmed that he will battle for the seat till the end.
He said the current leadership has not done much in the area, citing lack of jobs, poor road network, lack of empowerment and security among other issues.
