[Photo: NTV] Kenya's political architecture is fundamentally wrong as it does not conform to the ethnic demographics, which if not corrected now, may lead to the nation collapsing.High Court Advocate and Political analyst Captain Collins Wanderi has said that the main reason Kenya goes to chaos during every electoral cycle is because  'we are trying to build a nation out of desperate tribal nations who exist in a territory known as Kenya'.Speaking at NTV's Am Live show on Wednesday, Wanderi said there is a need to be very careful as the country is getting entrenched into very dangerous ethnic politics."Former President Daniel Arap Moi had warned that if we go multiparty, we are too young as a nation and we will go into ethnic competition. His prophecy has come to reality," said Wanderi. He added: "It is only in 1992 after legalizing multipartyism that we had a semblance of democracy where you find that the candidates that were competing against Moi one of them (Kenneth Matiba) was able to get huge chunk of votes from outside his home turf. After that in 1997, we went into ethnic cocoons."He noted that thereafter, in 2002, Kenya had a constitutional moment which Kenyans did not take an advantage of, which he said attributed to the unfortunate events of 2007.Wanderi castigated the architects of 2010 constitution whom he said did a great 'disservice' to the country."In 2010, we had another constitutional moment but the people who were given the mandate to write the new constitution did a great disservice to this country and history will judge them very harshly. There is a good reason, for instance, why Tanzania and Uganda have diversified executive leadership.""The executive power is with the President, the Vice President, the Prime Minister and two Deputy Prime Ministers. In Kenya, the executive leadership rests around the President, his deputy and the Cabinet. With this kind of power structure, we have not yet seen enough of these ethnic competitions," he said.
