However, one man shocked a gathering when he revealed that he refused to be healed by prophet Owuor for fear of losing his job.

Dr David ole Sankok who is the Chairman of the National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), told a gathering at Joytown Secondary School in Thika in 2015 that he had attended the prophet’s crusade.

During the healing service, Dr Sankot said he refused to be taken to Prophet Owuor to be healed because as a disabled person, he does not pay taxes and that he was employed because he is disabled.

He told the gathering that he is like David Rudisha, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney who earn salaries because of their legs.

“Sometimes back, l attended Prophet David Owuor’s crusade in Nakuru. The ushers saw me and invited me to the podium to be prayed for, and possibly get healed. When l thought of taxes, l took off from the scene like lightning. If l got healed right now, it means losing my job because l was employed because of my disability,” said Dr Sankok as quoted by sde.co.ke.

Dr Sankok was taken ill and rushed to the hospital where a doctor made a wrong diagnosis that left him disabled.

Dr Sankok is now a nominated MP serving in the current Parliament.
