Balambala MP Abdi Omar Shurie now wants Garissa Township MP Aden Duale to deputise Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.
Shurie argues that Duale is experienced enough to be DP Ruto’s deputy in 2022.
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Tuesday, Shurie also said that Duale has been loyal to the Deputy President.
“We are asking Jubilee politicians and more so Deputy President William Ruto to consider Duale as his running mate in the 2022 general election,” he said on Tuesday.
The MP said that Duale has made the North Eastern region to shine political, adding that he will do more if fronted as DP Ruto’s running mate in 2022.
The first time lawmaker said that as a region and Somali community have confidence in Aden Duale.
He said that they will continue to pray so that Duale is considered as DP Ruto’s running mate.
There have been claims that Duale could deputize DP Ruto in 2022.
Duale is DP Ruto’s close ally and confidant.
On Sunday, Duale said that they are ready to push for DP Ruto’s presidency in 2022.
