Mwathia argues that Raila might have the interest of the country at heart in his move to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta but at the same time he could have   a hidden political agenda.

The MP said that Raila has not given up on bid for presidency and will do everything to revive himself and try again in 2022.

Speaking  journalists  in Limuru Town  on Monday, Mwathi said that Raila's political past depicts him as political trickster.

He said that Raila's move to decide to work with Jubilee could be a plot to revive himself and prepare for 2022.

"It is good that Raila agreed to dialogue but  the dialogue should  be sincere and for the interest of the country," he said.

Mwathi, however, said that Uhuru-Raila re-union has brought relief in the country.

He said that their handshake has restored the country's  calmness, stating that the two leaders must now move across the country and preach unity.

President Kenyatta's handshake with the former Prime Minister continues to elicit reaction's across the political divide.

Several politicians have welcomed the move with a section especially from  Mt Kenya and Rift Valley calling on Uhuru to be cautious of Raila.

Last week Raila said that his handshake with Uhuru was painful but worthy it.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula are seeking a separate meeting with Uhuru days after he met Raila.

The three leaders have been lamenting that they were kept in the dark by Raila when he met with Uhuru at Harambee House.
