Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP)Moses Kuria has stated that Members of Parliament are planning to hold demonstrations.
According to Kuria, the peaceful protests set for are meant to raise concerns over alleged misreporting by asection of media houses.
Through his Facebook account, Kuria noted that MPs will march to the CEOs of Nation Media Group and Royal Media Services (RMS) ove rthe false reports by media that the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti had linked the suspect accused of conning MPs to their colleague Sabina Chege.
"Members of parliament will hold a peaceful march to the CEOs of Nation Media Group and Royal Media on Monday to protest this affront," said Kuria.
Kuria's annoucment came after Kinoti issued a statement refuting reports that he had directly linked the suspect to Chege.
According to Kinoti, contrary to reports in sections of the media, he did not tell MPs that Sabina has a special relationship with the suspect.
"I did not say that. The media misinterpreted what I said,” said Kinoti.
Kinoti further asserted that he only mentioned that most of the complainants are known tot he suspect in one way or another but did not single out on Ms Chege.
