Peter Msando (left), brother of the late IEBC's ICT manager Chris Msando, is consoled by a friend at Lee Funeral Home on August 4, 2017. The family is engulfed in uncertainties following the murder of Chris Msando [nation.co.ke]The mother of the slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT boss Chris Musando is a very disturbed woman.Mary Aloo's says her life came down crumbling when the news of her son's brutal murder reached her on Monday.Speaking on Friday at Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi during a public viewing of the body, Aloo said she does not know who will be helping her because she depended on her son for all her needs and medical expenses."I used to do business to take my child to school. He got a job and I put all my hopes on him. Now that he is gone and I am old and he is the one who used to help me, I don't know what will become of me," Aloo said. The old lady perhaps still unable to come to terms with the sudden departure of her son, wondered why her son’s killers couldn't have 'taken him to court if he had offended them instead of killing him'.Speaking at the time, Msando's elder brother Peter Msando, noted the death of his younger brother had dealt them a major blow, adding that the lives of his young family would change forever because the ICT manager was hardworking and adequately provided for it.The family's sentiments came even as they expressed disappointment with the way the government is 'taking its time' in investigating Msando's murder."As a family, we are not happy with the pace at which investigations are being conducted. The government should have accepted help from the foreign investigators," the brother saidHe urged the government to accept assistance from foreign agencies to enable them unravel the circumstances surrounding the death within the shortest time so that 'the family can move on'.
