Jubilee Party leaders drawn from the Mt. Kenya region have challenged residents to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid ahead of the August polls.Led by Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki and Chuka Igambang'obe MP Muthomi Njuki, the leaders warned the residents against voting Opposition alliance NASA, saying the leaders failed to bring meaningful development to the area when they were in government."NASA leaders had not done anything for the region from their days in government and should not dupe residents they will bring development," the Standard newspaper quoted Senator Kindiki. They further stated that the region had experienced substantial development through the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto."We and residents here only recognize President Uhuru's Jubilee Party. Jubilee is an organized outfit that has a clear agenda and its leaders," Kindi noted."We are like an army and are led by Uhuru, unlike a rudderless NASA who are yet to decide who, among Kalonzo, Wetang'ula, Mudavadi and Raila, is their presidential candidate," he added. They were speaking on Friday when Mr Njuki launched his gubernatorial bid for Tharaka Nithi County.
