Amani National Congress Leader and Opposition alliance NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has now said he had to sacrifice his presidential ambitions for the sake of the country.
Speaking to The Standard newspaper on Sunday, Mudavadi further accused those displeased with the NASA presidential line up of playing to the Jubilee den even as the forthcoming general elections draw nigh.
"I ask our supporters and every Kenyan to give NASA a little of themselves for the sake of all of us. We must give meaning to Kenya Kwanza (Kenya first)," he noted.
His appeal comes just a day after Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze's press briefing at the Parliament Buildings, where he faulted the NASA line up.
The legislator claimed that the Kamba community was given a raw deal in the power sharing agreement, adding that leaders from the region will make further consultations to chart the way forward.
The Opposition alliance agreed on a Raila - Kalonzo presidential ticket, with the three other principals who include Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Bomet governor Isaac Rutto expected to scoop senior government positions in the event the outfit wins the August polls.
