Kilifi governor hopeful Gideon Mung’aro has asked the National Super Alliance (NASA) to quit the 2017 presidential race.

Mung’aro argued that the Raila Odinga-led NASA coalition has already been defeated.

In an interview with the Standard, the ODM rebel MP said Raila has no campaign agenda and is engaging supporters in malicious propaganda.

He claimed that NASA is now copying the campaign pledges being made by the ruling Jubilee government in a bid to woo voters.

“NASA has completely run out of campaign ideas and the best thing for them to do is to surrender and quit the August 8 polls,” said Mung’aro, as quoted by the daily.

The Kilifi North MP claimed that NASA is exhibiting signs of a dying donkey, adding that Raila will not manage even 30 per cent of votes in the August 8 polls.

“Raila and his NASA friends are only good at criticizing and maligning the ruling Jubilee government in their campaigns and will not garner more than 30 per cent in the August polls,” he said.

While campaigning for Uhuru’s re-election, the rebel MP said he will traverse the Coast region to make sure that Jubilee wins by a landslide.

Mung’aro is seeking to unseat Governor Amason Kingi on Jubilee Party ticket in the August 8 polls.
