Former Senator Johnson Muthama and Kitui county boss Charity Ngilu did not appear for the National Super Alliance (NASA) rally in Machakos on Friday. The failure of the two to appear for the rally has raised eyebrows among the supporters. Amani National Congress (ANC) Musalia Mudavadi said that Muthama was held up in other businesses.
''I to pass Johnson Muthama's apology since he could not make it here.He is held up with other businesses but he wanted us to let you know that he is very sorry for missing this important meeting," Mudavadi said.
Ngilu was attending to a court case after former Governor Julius Malombe moved to court challenging her election.
Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has, however, asked Malombe to withdraw the petition against the county boss. According to Kalonzo, Ngilu and her Makueni counterpart Kivutha Kibwana have agreed to back his presidential bid ahead of 2022.
“Tumuombee Charity Ngilu, and I ask Malombe if he is still a Wiper member ajue I have since checked na majority ya wiper members hawataki mambo ya vurugu Kitui county,” Kalonzo said.
