Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua will have to initiate more projects in the regions if his presidential dream is anything to go by.
Mutua has said time and again that he will contest for the nation’s top seat in 2022.
The Kenyan electorate will use his performance scoreboard to determine whether he can lead this country or not.
The county boss, who defending his seat on Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement, has an uphill task ahead of him to prove that in deed he is a good leader.
The governor is expected to address the issue of water, roads, education and other sectors that will make residents of the region and entire nation to fall in love with his leadership before the 2022 elections.
Mutua has been rated among the best performing governors. However, the next term of the governor will play an immense role in his future.
The governor is also expected to tame Wiper Party leaders who have been launching attack after attack against his leadership since he took over office.
The lawmaker will be in a better position to bargain with other Presidential candidates if his political outfit wins several seats in the forthcoming general elections.
The governor’s close relationship with President Kenyatta will also place him in a better position if Jubilee retains power.
