Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Ababu Namwamba left the ODM party citing individual intolerance.

He claimed the party sidelined some Kenyans especially those from the Luhya community from the former Western province.

He also said 'Luhya Consciousness' movement needed to be realised and that that could only be done by the Western region people uniting in politics.

This forced him to come up with the 'Third Force' movement that aims at uniting all Luhyas towards the 2017 polls.

The movement, set to launch a political party soon has set out to woo as many people as possible.

However, Namwamba should not let his political ambitions block his vision for his political aspirations.

The 'Third Force' movement has not yet gained ground with the people and Mr Namwamba should look for stronger political leaders who he can work with him rather than jump into inconclusive decisions.

The Budalang'i lawmaker also lacks the rich political career that can match the likes of Musalia Mudavadi, Raila Odinga, Uhuru Kenyatta or even William Ruto.

If Namwamba really means he is for the Luhya unity, then he should join hands with the likes of Mr Mudavadi or Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula who have stronger CVs in politics.

This will give the 'Third Force' movement a lifeline on any political field.

The campaign recently done by the movement at the Coast is commendable as it starts to build base.
