National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders were forced to change the venue of their rally from Kamukunji grounds to Kibera

This is after police sealed off the Kamukunji grounds with water cannons and heavy presence hence making it hard for NASA's

The decision was arrived at after police prevented NASA leaders and their supporters from accessing the ground

According to the police, the rally would affect the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.

NASA leaders announced that they will now hold their rally in Kibera after the disruption despite the ban.

The rally is part of the preparation by the opposition coalition to receive back their leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka from abroad

Kibra ODM chairman Jeckonia Onyango and his organising Secretary Sigar Agumba confirmed that they had been directed by party leadership to prepare Kibra grounds for the 2pm rally.

Onyango said that the venue change plan was arrived at after organizers learnt that a huge pool of security officers was deployed at the first venue if Shauri Moyo ahead of the coalition’s gathering.

But police said the airport is a restricted area and they will not allow the opposition leaders and their supporters to enter.
