Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has weighed in on the ongoing debate on why NASA co-principals failed to show up at Uhuru Park for Raila Odinga's swearing-in.
The legislator claimed that the conspicuous absence of Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula in the controversial ceremony was triggered by fears that they would be arrested for treason.
''Why didn't Kalonzo Musyoka go there? Why didn't Moses Wetangula go? Why didn't Musalia Mudavadi? It is because they knew what was being perpetrated there was an illegality. It was treason, that is why they did not show up,'' Senator Wamatangi said.
The Senator was speaking today on an early morning television panel discussion.
The trio has come under intense criticism after failing to show up at the Uhuru Park grounds on Tuesday, January 30.
