The formation of the much touted National Super Alliance (NASA) by Opposition leaders will not deliver the presidency, Coast region leaders allied to the Jubilee Party have claimed.

Led by Kilifi South MP Mustapha Iddi, Ganze's Peter Shehe and Nominated Senator Emma Mbura on Thursday further alleged that the alliance cannot offer nothing new to Kenyans, since most of those leading the pack in the Opposition have served in senior government positions before.

"There is nothing new Kenyans should expect from the coalition formed by, among others, Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetang'ula (Ford-Kenya) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC)," Iddi said.

“The naked truth is that those fronting the union had served this country and failed to raise the standards of Kanyans' lives," he added.

Shehe on the other hand maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta is poised for a re-election, adding that Jubilee Party's development record speaks for itself.

“We as Jubilee are currently busy serving Kenyans. That is our core mandate and Kenyans will look for a development-oriented leader while voting. Their colourful Nasa launch has nothing to do with development of the country,” he said.
