Opposition coalition NASA has now claimed that electoral agency IEBC is not sufficiently prepared to conduct the forthcoming repeat polls.
Speaking on Tuesday shortly after holding a closed-door meeting with IEBC, NASA observed that it was not satisfied with IEBC's preparations since their demands are yet to be met.
The outfit has laid down a raft of demands that they want the commission to adopt before agreeing to participate in the elections.
“The measures they are taking are half-hearted and they are not addressing the mischief that the Supreme Court identified,” Siaya Senator James Orengo remarked shortly after the Bomas meeting.
Key among the demands that NASA wants met is the removal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba from office.
The Tuesday meeting was attended by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and other NASA leaders.
It was convened by IEBC in a move aimed at resolving a wide range of issues raised by key stakeholders ahead of the elections date.
