Lawyer James Orengo has dismissed ravel ban threats by President Donald Trump’s administration adding that the opposition is not enthusiasts to travel to the West.

Through Ambassador Robert Godec, the US has warned that it will take actions against leaders who are giving IEBC ‘unnecessary’ duress through threats and intimidation.

But on Tuesday, Orengo maintained that the opposition will continue pushing for reforms within the IEBC through constitutional means.

“Kenya is a sovereign country and as opposition, we are pursuing the right channel. You cannot threaten us when we exercise our right as enshrined in the constitution,” he said, in reference to demonstrations.

Orengo added:”The US is not special at all because it is also facing its own challenges. Based on what happened in Puerto Rico and Las Vegas, we are not enthusiastic to go there.”

United States is struggling to come to terms with recent Hurricane in Puerto Rico and the most recent shootings in Las Vegas, where an armed man killed over 58b people.

Among the reforms being pushed by NASA is removal of IEBC chief executive Ezra Chiloba and revoking of printing contract that as awarded to Dubai based company, Al Ghurair.
