National Super Alliance (NASA) MPs now want US President Donald Trump to recall Ambassador Robert Godec.
Led by National Assembly Minority leader John Mbadi, the opposition MPs blamed Godec for the political woes being witnessed in the country.
Mbadi said the NASA lawmakers will sign a petition seeking to have the Ambassador recalled from Kenya.
“NASA MPs will demand that Godec be removed from Kenya because he has become a source of the problem in our politics,” said Mbadi.
The Suba South MP further criticised foreign envoys over their failure to reproach the government for withdrawing the security of NASA leaders and failing to comply with court orders.
“If they are honest, then they must tell this regime to uphold the rule of law, freedom of media and respect the Judiciary.
“They should be ashamed to tell us to recognise a regime that cannot obey court orders, arrest opposition leaders and withdraw their security,” Mbadi was quoted by Kenyans.co.ke
Mbadi’s remarks come only a day after a group of envoys asked opposition leader Raila Odinga to accept President Uhuru Kenyatta as the legitimately elected Head of State before dialogue begins.
"The Opposition needs to accept this as the basis for the dialogue that it and many Kenyans want," a statement signed by 11 envoys said.
