Politics has always been a game of everyone for himself and God for us all.
Every politician is always busy finding ways that may elevate him further.
The situation is no different in Machakos County, Wiper MP wouldn't want a by-election in Machakos and if it's held they wouldn't throw weight behind former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti as the Wiper's candidate.
This is because these legislatures have interests in vying for the gubernatorial seat in 2022 elections and therefore would rather bear with the current governor whose term is almost over.
The fact that the constitution gives room for an individual to be elected a governor for a maximum of two terms gives the MPs some of who have publicly announced their interests in the gubernatorial seat hopes.
It's obvious they wouldn't wish Ndeti clinches the seat in a by-election, no matter how they hate Governor Mutua.
That's because it's undeniable fact that if Ndeti wins the by-election in case Governor Mutua's appeal is trashed, Ndeti would still have to defend the seat to serve for her final term in 2022 polls.
Despite Ndeti winning her appeal at the appellant court last Friday, it's obvious she's unhappy not because of the electorates but fellow leaders she's expecting.
These MPs might not blurt this out, but that's their utmost wish deep down.
