The Opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) has asked the Indepedent Electoral and Boundaries Commison to stop transmission of results.

According to NASA, the results are unverified  and therefore illegitimate.

Addressing news  conference in Nairobi, NASA co-principal and presidential elections chief agent, Musalia Mudavadi, claimed they had scrutinized results from both IEBC and NASA agents and that what was being displayed on the screens by the electoral commission was misleading.

However in a letter addressed to Chebukati, NASA demands that the electoral body “stops forthwith the display of unverified and unauthenticated results”.

NASA is also demanding that the IEBC allows political parties to download all the Forms 34A and Forms 34B to enable them to verify the same.

The opposition further argues that the IEBC flaunted Article 86 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by allegedly failing to count, tabulate and announce presidential election results promptly from each constituency.
