Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will give President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy a run for their money if endorsed by the National Super Alliance (NASA) alongside Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi as his running mate.
Coalitiion for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga commands a lot of respect from his people. If Raila agrees to back Kalonzo for the nation’s top seat then the former vice President is likely to garner more than 90% of the Luo vote.
When Raila said Kibaki Tosha many people doubted whether the Luo people will wake up in the morning and queue for hours to vote for a Kikuyu but they did. This is likely to be the same case if he backs Kalonzo.
Kalonzo has been having issues with leaders from his backyard but if he is given the mandate to vie for presidency, the likes of Maendeleo Chap Chap leader Dr. Alfred Mutua will consider supporting him as he has said it before.
Former Lands Minister Charity, former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr, Senator David Musila and Senator Johnstone Muthama will not dissappoint Kalonzo if he is given the opportunity to send Jubilee home.
On the other side of the nation, the Luhya community will not let their son Musalia Mudavadi walk alone. The alliance only needs to create a post to accommodate Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula long journey to unseat UhuRuto will end on a high note.
The Coastal region will also plays an immense role in the opposition’s quest to rise to power. Some analysts argue that Joho is not likely to support any other candidate but the governor is loyal to Baba. On the other hand, he has not been in good terms with President Uhuru hence he will back any other candidate if the situation forces him to do so.
