Former Lands minister Charity Kaluki Ngilu is the best candidate to replace the incumbent Dr. Julius Malombe in the forthcoming general election. Ngilu is not new in the political arena.
She has been tested and proven to be a performer in different posts in past regimes. Ngilu has a vision for the people of Kitui. Looking at her manifesto, you can clearly see that she dreams of making Kitui a small corner of paradise. Here is an overview of Ngilu’s manifesto as we head to the polls.
Water
Residents of Kitui have been lamenting about water shortage in the area. Although the incumbent has done his best to provide the rare commodity to the residents, Ngilu has pledged to do better. The lawmaker has pledged to drill holes in the village as well as educate youths of this area to operate regular water supply. The boreholes will also create job opportunities for the youths who have been languishing in abject poverty.
Land
A number of residents of Kitui have been asking the county government to ensure that they acquire title deeds. Ngilu has assured the residents that she will pursue for them to be given the documents once she ascends to power.
Medicare
Ngilu plans to establish hospitals and equip them with modern state of art equipment.
Education
Ngilu believes that education is the best thing you can give a child. She has promised to oversee the construction of more schools in the area.
Women and Youth Empowerment
As a woman, Ngilu understands the needs of women and youths. She has pledged to empower all groups of people in the county.
