Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has said that National Super Alliance(NASA) Chief Raila Odinga will vie for Presidency in 2022.
Speaking during an interview on Monday night in a local radio station (Radio Jambo),Ngunjiri said that Odinga has more influence in the country which will make him a suitable candidate to face William Ruto in the forthcoming polls.
He urged the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) to go it alone in 2022,adding that other parties forming NASA do not have numbers to win presidential elections.
The legislator noted that the mammoth crowd witnessed at Uhuru Park during the swearing in of Mr.Odinga was solely made up of the leader's supporters ,with NASA affiliate parties producing insignificant number.
"What was seen during the swearing in at Uhuru Park was the influence of Raila. He has numbers and I know he will run for 2022 elections again,"he said.
The lawmaker criticized NASA for boycotting the 2017 October 26 polls, saying that they feared for another loss to Jubilee.
He said the delay in announcing their presidential candidate for last year's polls was also another reason why they gunned down by Uhuru Kenyatta.
"They went all over hotels, spent a lot of time in coming up with their flag bearer while we in Jubilee already knew our line up.They should begin organising themselves for next polls,"he added.
The lawmaker slammed opposition MPs for saying that they did not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta's government yet they receive allowances and salaries from the same regime.
"I wonder why if there is a retreat in Mombasa or other areas they go for the allowances. They also receive salaries and CDF kitty.I dare them to denounce the money since they do not recognise this government," said Ngunjiri.
