Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery has urged Kajiado West MP Moses ole Sakuda to drop his parliamentary bid as an independent candidate during the forthcoming general elections.
Sakuda lost the Jubilee Party ticket to Mr George Sunkuyia during the just concluded party primaries.
Speaking in Kiserian on Saturday, Nkaissery noted that should Sakuda vie alongside Sunkuyia, then Jubilee Party risks to lose the seat to a rival party.
He further made it clear that Jubilee Party would support Mr Sunkuyia.
“Jubilee will support Sunkuyia. Sakuda is a resourceful man, he can get work many good jobs, he also makes a very good pastor,” he said.
Nkaissery's remarks were reiterated by Jubilee Party gubernatorial candidate for Kajiado and former Interior CS Joseph Ole Lenku.
Sakuda dismissed Jubilee Party primaries in the county as "shambolic", vowing to seek re-election as an independent candidate during the August polls.
