A former top executive in Nyamira county has decried the failure of the county administration to pay him and other colleagues 2.9 million shillings as a send-off package.
He lamented that the Nyamira administration had no reason whatsoever to refuse to pay them as the controller of budget had approved the package.
Mr. John Omwenga the ex-finance executive threatened to go to court should the situation persist beyond Tuesday.
''We will go to court should the county government fail to release the cash by tomorrow.'' Mr. Omwenga said.
Omwenga revealed that it was only Governor Nyagarama and his deputy Amos Nyariobo who were given the package.
The governor was re-elected.
In paying the send-off package, the county will part at least 29 million shillings.
