(Photo/the star.co.ke)The sudden death of Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze is a big blow to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's 2022 presidential bid, political analyst Peter Ngure has said.The Kiambu based political analyst observes that Kalonzo has lost an important person who had the desire to see him ascend to the presidency.In an interview on Wednesday, Ngure said that Nyenze was Kalonzo's confidant and would have made an important contribution to his bid for 2022.The analyst described Nyenze as fearless and a person who would have steered Kalonzo to the top seat.He said that Nyenze's firmness would have helped Kalonzo fight the murky political waters to the top seat."Nyenze was to make crucial contribution to Kalonzo's 2022 presidential bid and his sudden death is a blow to the former Vice President (VP)," he said.Nugure noted that Nyenze was a defender of the Kamba nation.He said that the Kitui West MP had the interests of his people at heart.
The analyst said that Kalonzo will have to shop quickly for people who will spearhead his 2022 presidential ambition.Nyenze who served in the last parliament as opposition minority leader died on Wednesday morning at the Nairobi Hospital after a short illness.Various leaders across the divide have eulogised Nyenze as a dedicated politician who cared to the interests of his people.
