Orie Rogo Manduli has said that Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma, an independent candidate is likely to retain his seat in the forthcoming general elections.
Manduli, who spoke on Citizen TV Jeff Koinange Live Show, said Prof Anyang Nyong’o is no threat to Ranguma despite having bagged the ticket to contest for the governorship when that time comes, adding that he has lost touch with Kisumu residents.
"I don't see anything formidable about Prof Nyong'o, he will definitely lose to the incumbent who resonates well with the people of Kisumu," claimed Ms Manduli during an interview on Wednesday night.
She added that the residents of this part of the nation feel like Nyong’o was imposed on them as we head to the polls.
"He would not have authority as a governor because people would feel that he has been imposed on them by the party leadership,” warned Orie Rogo.
The iron lady also said that Machakos Gubernatorial aspirant Wavinya Ndeti will floor incumbent Governor Dr Alfred Mutua when that time comes.
Her sentiments were reiterated by Businessman Chris Kirubi who said that Ndeti has what it takes to lead Wiper if given the opportunity.
Kirubi said that she likes Wavinya Ndeti’s courage, commitment and hard work. The aspirant will be contesting on Wiper if she wins the case against her.
