Former US President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in the country on June 16, 2018.
Obama, who will be in Kenya for one day, will hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta and also visit his ancestral home in K’Ogelo, Siaya County.
The former president will then head to South Africa to deliver the annual Nelson Mandela lecture at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg.
Obama last visited Kenya in 2015 when he was president.

It is not yet clear whether he will meet with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
None of his family members will accompany him during the trip.
The American embassy in Nairobi is expected to respond to queries on Obama’s visit on Monday.
State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu said Obama’s office will make further announcements on the planned visit.
