Local media reports say Barrack Obama is among scores of world leaders who have been invited to the swearing in ceremony of Uhuru Kenyatta slated for Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

While Uhuru has been most generous to extend an invite to the former U.S president who boosts Kenyan ancestry, Barrack Obama is likely not to honor the invitation.

This is because of the divisions in the country following the October 26 rerun which was boycotted by NASA supporters.

Honoring the invitation may not be good PR after all as it may be interpretation as an endorsement of the Jubilee administration.

Moreover, his presence at Uhuru's inauguration may not sit well with opposition supporters many of whom share his ethnic extraction.

Obama has been reputed to be a leader whose decisions and actions are well-thought through and very cautious.

When he visited the country in 2015, it was only after it became apparent that Uhuru's ICC case was collapsing and when the political tensions in the country had cooled off.

This time round the temperatures are very high.
