There is much to be told about Opposition Chief Raila Odinga's life. He is not just known for politics, but he is a man of great history in both economic and education affairs.Here is a brief history of his school life.
The Former Prime Minister went to Kisumu Union Primary School, where he underwent part of his education. He later joined Maranda Primary where he finished his primary education.
Raila then joined the famous Maranda High school where he studied for two years, before dropping out in 1962 and joining the Herder Institute, a part of the philological faculty at the University of Leipzig in East Germany.
He later received a scholarship in 1965 that enabled him to study at Technical School, Magdeburg (now a part of Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg) in the GDR.
Odinga then graduated with a Masters of Science in 1970, the same year he returned to Kenya.It was then that in 1971, he established the Standard Processing Equipment Construction & Erection Ltd, later renamed as East African Spectre (EAS), a company manufacturing liquid petroleum gas cylinders.
He later worked for the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) before joining politics.
