He is facing a possible downfall and is being fought from many fronts while he stands all alone, with only the support his junior allies within his Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

He has been put at the center of the alleged plan to sabotage Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, with Ruto's allies repeatedly bashing him and portraying him as a politician whose main motive is to spoil it for others.

The veteran leader's political moves have also been thrown into uncertainty following President Uhuru Kenyatta's recent declaration that he would not back any constitutional amendment attempt, rallying behind Ruto.

This was despite Odinga's recent claim that they had agreed on the issue in their truce, a change that could further result to a conflict between the leader and his supporters who were already warming up to the changes.

His ongoing battle with the remaining section of the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) leadership, especially Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula is also threatening to further kill his political ambitions.

The Ford Kenya party leader who had earlier vowed to punish him over their earlier disagreement has since kicked-off the plan by endorsing each and every shot fired at the leader and is likely to join any side promising to further paralyze him.
