Nasa leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta are horseracing towards winning the repeat presidential elections slated for October 26.
Odinga was defeated in the August 8 elections by President Uhuru Kenyatta after which the Supreme Court nullified the results due to electoral irregularities by the IEBC.
Kisii and Nyamira counties were counties leaning towards Odinga but are currently full Nasa strongholds. Following the attacks by President Uhuru towards Maraga after the nullification of the August 8 presidential results, Odinga gained huge support from the region after the residents criticized Uhuru's take on Maraga.
Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu will largely contribute to Odinga's win after she defected to Nasa. Her followers from her backyard will back up Odinga's bid in the repeat presidential elections.
Machakos County is thought to be leaning towards Jubilee because of Governor Mutua who is a Jubilee Alliance affiliate but currently Jubilee campaigns in the area are subsequently unsuccessful.
Odinga has fought hard to ensure no election irregularities are encoded in the repeat presidential elections. This is after he filed a petition at the Supreme Court push for nullification of the August 8 elections that were marred with irregularities in which he succeeded. He(Odinga) fights to nab votes rigging in the Jubilee strongholds.
Voter turnout in Odinga's strongholds is expected to hit 90%. The Nasa team works strategically towards mobilizing voter turnouts in the strongholds.
