Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has hinted that there is a lot of desperation in the Orange Democratic Movement party.
Khalwale on Wednesday said the Orange party's top leadership is worried of the rising resistance against Kenya's largest party especially following the ouster of Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula from his Senate Minority position.
He said unless ODM 'styles up' the party risk losing majority support in opposition strongholds in the country.
"After the ANC party and Ford Kenya merger became eminent, now the ODM party is using dailies to propagate fake news on Boni Khalwale," the outspoken former lawmaker said on Twitter.
He made the social media post after a local daily reported that he (Khalwale) had announced the merger between Musalia Mudavadi's ANC party and Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya.
Khalwale has been at loggerheads with ODM's top leadership after Wetangula lost his Senate Minority Leader post in the Senate.
He has consistently accused opposition chief Raila Odinga of spearheading Wetangula's downfall but says the Bungoma Senator is strong enough to withstand any political storm that will come his way.
More than five rallies have been held in Vihiga, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, and Bungoma by Khalwale, Mudavadi, Wetangula and other Western leaders to denounce Raila.
