ODM women aspirants have pledged support for party leader Raila Odinga, as he seeks Nasa presidential ticket.
During a women aspirants meeting, Monday, they said Raila was the ideal candidate to send Uhuru Kenyatta out of State House, in the August 8 elections.
"We have an announcement to make before our party leader leaves. Raila Tosha! Raila is the best presidential candidate. Raila Tosha!'' one of the women said, as the rest shouted 'Igwee Igwee!' chants.
ODM secretary general Dr Agnes Zani, Nominated senator Elizabeth Ongoro, Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga among others were also present.
They said women would support Raila, since he had shown them, the capability of helping them stand by their own.
They said ODM had never marginalised women, hence the decision to support its leader.
"As women, we must support each other. Let us not drag each other behind. Our party leader is always ready to help us out,'' he added, while at the Multi Media University.
