On Thursday, Former Kajiado governor David ole Nkedianye filed a petition challenging the election of Joseph ole Lenku in the general election.

Nkedianye claims Kajiado is among many other counties that have "computer-generated" leaders adding that he has evidence of electoral misconduct by the IEBC from 60  different polling stations.

"I will leave the determination of the winner to God. The same God has opened my eyes to see how I was hauled out of office through a manipulated election," he told journalists as reported by The Star.

He also refuted claims that he congratulated Ole Lenku on his victory saying his remarks were taken out of context.

"That election lacked the tenets of a democratic process. It is total shame and acceptable in a society that gained independence from the yoke of colonialism more than 50 years ago,” said Nkedianye.

His legal team which is led by Saitabao Kanchori, claim he has strong evidence which will overturn Ole Lenku's win.

"In fact results for 64 out of 797 polling stations with a total of 32,889 registered voters were not entered into the system for the election of the governor, but interestingly they were able to get the final result anyway. The law was bridged at every step of the process that led to declaration of a winner,” Kanchori said.
