Rigena human rights watch organisation chairman Thomson Osoro has said Kisii county Governor James Ongwae hires goons time from ttime to defend him over his leadership because he has not the constitution to understand the rights of the people
These remarks come after Osoro and other people organised a demonstration in Kisii town streets on Thursday against the misuse of taxpayers’ money by Kisii county government but the deal was disrupted by Ongwae’s followers who countered the protest.
“If our current governor continues to hire goons to disrupt events and even protest against his leadership it means he has not read the constitution to understand that the protesters have a right to demonstrate to deliver their grievances,” Osoro told the media.
They accused governor Ongwae ‘s leadership on nepotism and vowed that on Thursday next week they will protest against the misuse of public funds.
“We want the county to account for the Sh32 billion it has received in the last four years as human rights watch we are not going to stop until everything is addressed,” added Osoro.
