Lawyer James Orengo's continued absence has raised eyebrows from among NASA supporters for a week now with a section of social media users speculating a fallout with Raila Odinga.

Orengo, a political think tank for the opposition, was last seen a day to last week's controversial election at a campaign rally in Mavoko.

Despite the rumours about his fallout, ODM Political Affairs Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has said that the renowned legal mogul is handling a serious gubernatorial case in Siaya.

"There is no need to panic because he is working on a case that involves Governor Amoth Rasanga," he said on Friday.

Wandayi added: " That does not mean that he is missing in action. There are a lot he is doing that does not necessarily need media attention."

The case was filed by former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo who finished second and Orengo is understandably representing IEBC Returning Officer in the case.

On Tuesday, opposition leader Raila Odinga hinted that Orengo was away in Siaya for an 'important' matter.
