Many parents would like to cry but because their children are right in their face, many suppress their emotions and put on a fake smiling face.
According to the Australian blogger, Constance Hall, it's important to let your child see when you are at your worst emotions.
It teaches children that there is nothing wrong when it comes to experiencing human emotions.
According to Hall, an out-spoken mother admitted that she used to hide in the shower whenever she needed to cry to reassure her children that she was fine.
Hall claims she was once in the same situation before she was caught one day.
“I remember sobbing behind a closed door determined that my children wouldn't see me. They inevitably caught me, they consoled me, gentle caring ways, little arms on my shoulders as I lied about being fine,” she told the Independent.
Hall reaffirms that letting your children see you cry will teach them how to handle raw emotions and know that it’s just life.
Everyone has a limit and crying in front of your children won't hurt them either. It’s good for a child to know that his savior can break down but that doesn't mean she’s not secure.
