Those who congregated at the Kasarani auditorium were regaled with lofty promises, chief among them were goodies and state appointments to nomination losers after party primaries.

Take Nairobi’s gubernatorial seat for instance. On Jubilee ticket alone, several candidates are salivating for the coveted seat, among them; Mike Sonko, Eugene Wamalwa, Kenneth Marende, Dennis Waweru, Johnstone Sakaja, Margaret Wanjiru among others who are yet to declare their candidature in the hope of sharing in the ruling party’s basket of freebies.

The opportunistic politicians are aware that should Jubilee triumph in the 2017 polls, its sycophants, cronies and hardened loyalists will be rewarded with Parastatal, cabinet, ambassadorial and many other appointments that are at the disposal of the ruling Jubilee Party.

Jubilee is the one-stop shop for political rejects.
