As politicians are out campaigning for their re-election in the next polls it is evident that many people have not registered as voters since they have no Identification Cards even though they have the minimum requirements to get one.
This comes after the launch of My ID My life campaign kicked off in Kisii County which targets 25,000 youths across the county.
So it will be hard for the politicians to campaign seeking to be elected while they have not voters, they, therefore, need to campaign on how residents can acquire IDs.
According to the Kisii county youth Forum President Denis Oriki, it has been hard for the youths to acquire loans without IDs and it will be the same for politicians since most voters have not registered.
For politicians to have more voters they need to mobilise residents to go for the IDs as an assurance of gaining in 2017.
When people do not have an identification it means that are no longer voters hence it seems that politicians have been blackmailed by residents who are not voters.
This indicates that politicians can easily lose since they think that they have supporters while they don't.
