Through the Facebook Group (United States of Kiambu) members of the group were in unison that the artists were simply venting their anger and music is just one way of expressing one's anger and frustrations.

The said users are now demanding for a Paybill number to help bail out Njau saying he is innocent and did not deserve the Sh700,000 cash bail placed on him by the Milimani court.

One Wachira Wa Njima posted, "Someone brings his paybill yawa, we must support one of our own."

The group members were fast to respond to the suggestion with others noting that ordinary wananchi are punished with huge bails and bonds while those who do gross crimes go unnoticed.

One Hon Francis Waithaka noted, "I support we have pay bill number immediately, and it's also good to note that when a Kikuyu is taken to court for any reason including traffic offence court is so biased with Kikuyu they always give out hefty fines than other tribes!!"

Another Wagithomo Wa Karia supported the artists saying, "History tells us that music and dance capture the people's feelings in times of transition, civil strife, elections, war, peace, prosperity and happiness. Most of the modern democracies use songs and dance to wrench power from oppressors, even to pass messages to the rulers."

Others, however, condemned the accused saying that it should be a lesson to other people who are fond of spreading ethnic hate.

Kamamie Sue Wa Saddam said, "Never!! It's about time people learn to control their mouths and use their brains well. If this guy made millions from the song ungepata hata bob?? He was in the line of duty. Nonsense"

John Gichiri was arraigned in court yesterday and charged with three counts of ethnic hate. He was released on a cash bail of Ksh 700, 000 which he could not raise making him spend the night behind bars.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, however, speaking at a local vernacular station on Tuesday promised to bail the artist out before dusk.
