In the list of surprise guests to attend a luncheon at Statehouse on Tuesday are two vocal bloggers from Nyanza.
Their names are Gordon Opiyo and Samson Ogolla.
The two rose to prominence largely through their unvarnished, sometimes harsh, political commentary on Facebook.
One would be forgiven for thinking that they are diehard Raila supporters given their ethnic extraction but no: the two are unapologetic Jubilee stalwarts, a fact that has seen them called traitors.
Samson Ogolla paid the price of that support when youths broke into his house and made away with goods.
Now the two have the last laugh.
On Tuesday they will rub shoulders with powerful people on the planet including Israel's Premier Benjamin Netanyahu.
This is an opportunity for President Uhuru Kenyatta to say thank you to his ardent foot soldiers who went against the grain by supporting him.
